2012 Sweet Auburn Springfest NY Auditions

Bluebird Music Publishing will be holding auditions for the 2012 Sweet Auburn Springfest in Atlanta, GA. The Festival will take place in Atlanta on May 11-13, 2012. Taking place on Auburn Avenue, the street that is the home to many of the first African American owned business and institutions such as America's first Black-owned radio station, WERD, and has served as the center of the Civil Rights Movement and home to Dr. King's Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Sweet Auburn Springfest aims to preserve this history and heritage. On average there are over 300,000 people who attend. BalbirSingh Dance Company

Synchronised is an ambitious and innovative three-year project which will culminate in a high-profile pool-based production featuring professional dancers and swimmers alongside community performers, to coincide with the 2012 Olympic Games. ContempraDance Theatre is seeking a male and female dancer for upcoming performances in March/April. Must have modern and jazz dance experience and be over 18 years of age. North Carolina Dance Theatre is a Charlotte-based, world class repertory dance ensemble. Auditions are intended for classically trained dancers who have performing experience with a professional company. Ballet Dancer Needed

A female ballet dancer (Late teens - early thirties) is needed for a music video shoot. The shoot is on Sunday, Feb 5th at a studio in Old City. Contact danieltravis@gmail.com for more information. This is a professional music video shoot for a national touring band. Dancer is only needed for a few hours. The dancer would be filmed doing spins and jumps, in a set that will be connected to where the band is performing (potentially wearing a mask). There is no pay, but dancer will get credit, and can use the video for their portfolio.
