Dance/USA - Annual Conference internship
Dance/USA is currently seeking a programming/annual conference intern to join our Washington, DC office from February - June 2012. This intern will report to the director of programs and assist with planning and coordinating logistics for Dance/USA’s Annual Conference, the largest national gathering of dance professionals in the United States. The programming/annual conference intern will also gain professional, on-the-job experience facilitating on-site at this year’s conference in San Francisco, CA (June 27 – June 30th). Dance/USA Membership Fellowship Program
Dance/USA announces its first-ever Membership Fellowship Program. The Fellow will work 20 hours per week (from March to May) and 35-40 hours (from May to August). During your Fellowship, you will be integral to the operations of Dance/USA’s Membership Department by communicating with members and non-members on a regular basis, serving as point of contact for two to three special projects within the Department, and assisting the Director in hiring a fall intern. American Dance Festival
Each summer during its annual season, the American Dance Festival (ADF) offers internships that provide essential training for those interested in a career in arts administration and production. Administrative internships are intended to give hands-on experience, by professionals, in all areas of arts management. Production interns work on the crew for the 40-plus performances of the ADF season. All interns are integral parts of the ADF staff and play an important role in carrying out the ADF’s mission to serve dancers, choreographers, and artists in related fields.

Bates Dance Festival
The Festival's internship/apprenticeship program offers qualified individuals an opportunity to work side-by-side with the Festival's professional staff. Interns/apprentices will receive on-the-job training in technical production, videography, arts administration and dance education, while gaining valuable contacts and in-depth knowledge of contemporary dance. Housing, meals and complimentary tickets to performances are provided. Dance education, administration, video interns and stagecraft apprentices may register for up to two classes a day. Administrative and mARKETING Paid Internship, Pasion Y Arte
Pasion y Arte Flamenco (PyA) Company is a small 501–c-3 non-profit feminist dance company based in Philadelphia, PA, that creates original contemporary Flamenco works that are performed nationwide. PyA has two employees: the Artistic Director, its sole full-time employee, runs a conservatory/school as well as maintaining an active schedule of university teaching and more casual performances; as well as a Part-time Company Manager. PyA is seeking an extremely organized intern to support the administrative responsibilities and logistics of running a busy production and touring schedule. More specifically, PyA seeks support for such general office duties as maintaining databases, marketing, and educational and community outreach. Additionally, PyA is looking for support in coordinating the First Philadelphia Flamenco Festival happening in March 2012, which involves an intensive logistical pre-planning period before and during the event, along with the post-Festival wrap up. ThinkingDance
thINKingDANCE is a year-long project supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage through Dance Advance, taking 20 local writers to cover the dance field in Philadelphia. Seeking two interns. Responsibilities include processing check requests, guest teacher logistics, obtaining performance tickets, and updating web content to documenting the project. Experience in dance or writing, comfortable working independently on a deadline, excited about the work that happens offstage as well as on. No pay. Credit available for college internship or independent study, as appropriate. Benefits include tickets to performances, access to workshops with leading dance writers. 4-6 hours/week for the semester, or preferably, year.
