Help Dance/UP meet the Knight Arts Challenge!

Dance/UP has reached it’s fifth birthday only because of thoughtful contributions from people like you. Your gift now is more important than ever. Any gift earmarked for “Dance in Public Places” counts toward a required match for Dance/UP’s award from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as part of its competitive Knight Arts Challenge.

If you can help us meet the match, Dance/UP will buy a portable sprung dance floor and make it available to the whole community on an as-needed basis so that more live dance can be seen in public places. Learn more at danceinpublicplaces.org. Buy a Panel and help us reach our goal. Our portable floor has 108 panels, each measuring 2.5 feet by 2.5 feet. If you can make a gift of $50 or more, you will be invited to sign the back of a panel when the floor arrives in spring 2012. Your name and, if you wish, your footprint will stay with the floor wherever it travels, seen by everyone who rents it for years to come! Donate $200 and you get a whole panel to dedicate and decorate as you wish. Even a small gift can be a great help. Your donation of any size demonstrates community support to all our funders and program partners. Give Online Now!

Shift Your Gift to Dance/UP

Forming a giving circle with friends or colleagues is a fun and easy way to claim a whole panel. Visit us at Shift My Gift to send your link to your gift exchanges this season. Won’t your friends, colleagues, and family get a kick out of buying a dance floor with you instead of giving another pair of socks?
